As we posted earlier, Bobby has been in LA on business, so Mikelle and Jackson decided to go out for a few days over the 4th of July. And it Just so happened that Amber and Sean were in La Habra (just outside LA) visiting his family! Double bonus. We had so much fun. We went to the beach, watched The World Cup and mostly just vegged the 2nd and 3rd. The 4th Amber and Sean left, so we actually went into LA and saw a little of the town. The 5th we went to Six Flags Magic Mountain and had a lot of fun. Of course Jackson could only ride a few rides, but he loved them, and poor Bobby had to go on all the rides with him because he was too small to go alone. The 6th Mikelle and Jackson just hung-out, since it rained most of the day, but it was still a nice break from 100+ degrees! It was a lot of fun, but we wish we had more time, and Jackson really wised we had gone back to the ocean and the big sand box!!

Bobby is working in LA for a few weeks, so Mikelle and Jackson escaped from the heat and went to visit her parents in Prescott. They had lots of fun playing at the park, and in the sand, and in the garden. Of course they helped Grandma get a few things done as well! Jacskon is getting so big and adventurous, especially when there are older kids around showing him how it's done!! He is all boy, and never stops. As much as Grandma and Grandpa loved having us there, I think they like a break from all the extra running as well!!!
Last weekend we met up with Mikelle's parents and her niece, Kira, and nephew, Trenton, in Williams, AZ to go camping. We had a great campsite, about 5 miles away from one of the fires up there, but we were never in any danger. Plus, the kids loved watching the helicopters flying overhead. It was Jackson's first camping trip, and he loved it! We spent a day at the Grand Canyon, which Bobby has never been to. It was so much fun. Plus, Grandma and Grandpa brought lots of fun toys for the kids to play with. We came home tired and dirty, but that's what makes a good trip, right?! At least Jackson thought the idea was to leave as little dirt as possible at the camp ground!!

Glas Baby Girl
A lot of you already know Mikelle is Pregnant, but for those of you who don't, she is!! We are having a little girl, due the middle of November. We got to find out earlier than usual on the sex since Mikelle's pregnancies are high risk and the MD does lots of ultrasounds. She is doing well, beside from the constant nausea, but we still have a long way to go.
This past weekend Mikelle and Jackson were once again in Prescott. Suzy and Van were in town, so they had to go play! Van got sick the day they got there, so they only had a little time to play, but the boys had fun. Mostly Jackson loved being the bigger kid, and kept taking toys Van had that he wanted. Luckily Van was okay with it most of the time. They did have fun doing Starfall on the computer and playing duets on the piano.

Random Pictures
Jackson has a "security" item just like most kids. His is his Lovey, and he loves to wear it on his head. At least it helps him sleep at night!
He has started to get into tools lately. Which is perfect because he got this cool hard hat from Grandma and Grandpa Schummer. He loves to take the hammer around and hammer things. Daddy's big helper!
One of Jackson's new favorite games is to hide. His Aunt Kristin helped him find a very clever place to hide, even if he needs help getting into it!

So we have been huge slackers, but we don't have a ton to report on. These pictures are from Easter weekend. Amber came to play!! We had lots of fun, and even got to watch most of Conference thanks to Jackson deciding he likes to give and get mani's and pedi's. Bobby hated it, but the girls all thought it was cute. Since then, Kristin has moved in with us while she gets her feet under her in a new job at a dental office. Jury is still out on how she likes it. And the most exciting thing to happen lately, wait for it, the police came to our house today because our neighbors called in that we were being robbed. Luckily we weren't, it was just a general contractor trying to fix some electrical problems we have been having. Needless to say, the cop in our backyard freaked Mikelle out, but it is good to know our nosy neighbors are watching out for us!!! We do lead one exciting life!!

Life around here has been mostly boring lately. Bobby has been working about 65 hours a week, so Jackson and Mikelle just play around the house. Last week though Mikelle and Jackson went to Prescott to see her parents. They had a lot of fun, especially since there was snow to play in! Barry and his family also went to Prescott for a few days, and we were able to find a great place to sled and have a snowball fight. Jackson loved sledding, it was just hard for Mikelle to lug him back up the hill with her, since he didn't like to walk on the snow. Uncle Barry and Grandpa helped too. Tessa only went a few times, then decided she did not like it. Overall, Jackson loved his first sledding experience, but got tired early on so he just had a rest with Grandma, then was back again. He doesn't seem to mind the cold. The weather was perfect, Mikelle even got a little sunburn! The snow was deep, and we kept finding "rabbit holes" where we would sink into the snow, up to our waist even.

Not much to update on. Mikelle and Jackson were in Prescott last week while Bobby works 60+ hours at work. He's enjoying the job, but the hours are crazy. We are hoping once taxes are over, the hours get better! Two random pictures. One of Jackson riding the fake geese at Grandma houseand one of him sitting in his chair watching TV.

After the zoo, and naps we went to Barry and Kendra's house to party! We had a Cars birthday, since our little one can't get enough of "Queen" and "Mate". (He is turning into such a little talker!) He loved it, and even kept his party hat in for a few minutes! We went really simple this year, just family, presents and of course food!! We didn't do a cake, just a rice krispy treat car, which Jackson tried and loved! It was fun, and he even opened his presents! Finally he is getting the hang of it.He was just full of surprises. I guess he is just getting so mature! The one downside was that he wasn't feeling great, and got worse on Sunday, his actual birthday. Bummer to be sick on your b-day, but he seems to be feeling better tonight, at least Mikelle is hoping!
Well, We officially have a two year old! It is crazy, and the time went by too fast. For his birthday, we started off with a trip to the zoo. Mikelle's parents and Kristin came, plus we brought Barry and Kendra's kids. It was a great day to go, even a little chilly! Jackson wasn't feeling his best, and fell asleep on the way there, so he and Grandpa missed most of the animals, but Jackson got the best part, tractors to climb on and goats to pet! We had a lot of fun, and got to see most of the animals!

We have finally started utilizing the Phoenix Public Library more, and have started using Culture Passes, which are free passes to museums, zoos and other fun things to do around Phoenix. We got lucky the last few weeks and got a few coveted ones. We were able to go to the Children's Museum of Phoenix, and we had so much fun. Of course Jackson loved the cars, but the big kids made it hard for him to play. Although, he could paint rocks with water, go through a noodle forest and ride the bikes all day. There is so much to do, and all hands on. Anyone that has kids will love it!
We just have to say how much fun it is to live a mile from Barry and Kendra. Jackson loves to play with his cousins, especially Tessa. Whenever we tell him we are going to see Tessa, he says, "Yea, Tessa!" and runs to the door. They like to hug, hold hands, and kiss sometimes, it is soo cute. They do fight occasionally over toys, but usually they just have fun.

Okay, last post to catch-up on the Holidays. Jackson found one of Aunt Kristin's cowboy hats the last day we were there, and he wouldn't take it off. It was soo cute, especially since he really hates hats. He just kept running around with it on, and it would fall off, so then he just put it right back on. It was hard to get a good shot, but finally we got a few when he stool still!!
Lets see who kills me first! Amber and her new husband got these awesome underwear for all the boys, men, for Christmas! They were all Superhero themed, and we all thought it was hilarious, although Jared was a little confused when we opened them! So, of course we had to get pictures. It was awesome to have them doing Christmas breakfast dishes in their new underwear!! Sean fits right into our family!
