Jackson is just teething away. He puts everything in his mouth. He has his bottom two teeth, and they are so cute, and sharp! Kristin has a great picture, so when we can get it from her, we will post it.

This picture is so funny. Jackson is trying so hard to roll onto his stomach. He is so close, he just doesn't get his arm in the correct position most of the time.

Here are Jackson's 8 month pictures. It is hard to tell how big he is getting, because getting him to sit still is almost impossible now! He is constantly on the move and always trying to explore something new. He still loves his feet and plays with them all the time. He isn't crawling yet, but we are hoping it won't be much longer. Mostly when we put him on his stomach, he rolls over, although he is finally starting to roll from his back to his stomach, but not too often. He still has his winning smile and makes the funniest faces.
Here is our handsome boy with his Grandma Halterman. He just loves her. She can always get him to smile. He is also sporting his Dr. Seuss outfit. We are starting him young. He loves to read Dr. Seuss books, which we inherited from his Great-Grandma Halterman. It has been decided Jackson will go far in life.

Here Jackson is playing with a stick and some roots. He is a typical boy, already! He loves the dirt, sticks, and just being outside in general. Thankfully we have spent a lot of time in Prescott, because it is still too hot to spend much time outside in Phoenix. We do go on occasional walks but usually once the sun goes down.

Here Jackson stole Grandpa Halterman's hat and put it on, or maybe he had a little help! But he looks so cute. This picture is great with the two of them looking at each other. Jackson and his Grandpa have become buds while Mikelle and Jackson were in Prescott. The second picture is just funny. Jackson was "G-riding" in his stroller (according to Bobby). Plus, he just loves to put his blanket over his face while falling asleep. It makes us a little nervous, but once he falls asleep, we just take it off his face and he's good to go. That little boy loves to sleep while on the go.

Here are some of Jackson's 7 month photos. He is just getting so big. He is rolling over, but not crawling yet. He loves to stand, but can only do it with help. He is finally cutting a tooth. He has been teething for a few months, but on Labor Day the first one finally poked through. We can't wait for it to be more noticeable. He has also started to reach out more, which is great until he yanks your hair or scratches your face! No really, it is so sweet when he reaches up to touch your face. He has started to try and talk more, but no coherent words yet. He is also recognizing people and voices, but is starting to become real clingy and hates it when he's left alone. It doesn't even matter who it is just as long as he has an audience!

Just some fun pictures we took. Jackson is getting more and more mobile, but also needs to be entertained while awake. He gets bored with one thing after just a few minutes, if that! Which is making it all the more challenging for Mikelle to be back in Phoenix and trying to handle Jackson alone all day. Once it gets a little cooler outside, the walks will increase and Jackson will love that. He gets to excited to see Bobby when he comes home, and loves to go swimming once the pool has a little shade over it.

Here are just a few fun pictures we took. Aunt Kristin decided Jackson wasn't cool enough, so he needed a hat to wear backwards. A hat that is 3 sizes too big. At least it is a Red Sox hat, although you can't tell from the picture. He does look pretty cool though! And here he is with some of his new friends from Prescott. He doesn't look so big now! Mikelle is doing much better with her back, and it looks like she will be home to stay after Labor Day! She still has a ways to go to get back to pre-broken back, but at least she can take care of herself and Jackson and can continue to heal at home.

Jackson is sitting up all by himself. He is so proud of himself. He also loves to stand but of course can only do it when on of us helps him. He's not pulling himself up yet, or walking, but he finally started to roll over last Monday the 11th! The doctor said since he is so chunky it would take him longer than other kids, but finally he did it!

Jackson has passed the 6 month mark, and is almost to 7, but who's counting! Here are a few shots from his 6 month photo shoot. His Aunt Kristin decided it would be cute to put a big 6 on him for the occasion. It was a great idea, look how cute he looks, until he started drooling! Then the washable marker might have gotten all over Jackson and Kristin! It was worth it though. At his 6 month visit, he was 18 lbs. 12 1/4 oz and 28 inches. That puts him in the 74% for weight and 93% for height. Not a small boy!

So we are playing catch-up on blogging, but at least we are consistent! Jackson is using a high chair! He still has some problems with sitting straight and not falling over, but it is funny to watch. He has mostly gotten over not eating solids, and loves the fruits and veggies. We just started some meat, and boy does he hate those!

For the 4th of July, Bobby and Aunt Amber came up to Prescott to play. Bobby ran a 10K and
Mikelle, her sisters, and Jackson walked 2 miles. It was fun, but so hot. Bobby did really well and finished
in the first 5 of his
age group! Jackson slept most of the time. He is such a good and calm baby. Mikelle did good too. It was the farthest she's walked since everything with her back. She was tired and sore when it was over, but it was worth it. Later we went down to the town square and had shakes and Indian Fry Bread. A little tradition the Halterman family has. We also walked around and looked at craft booths, Bobby's favorite thing to do! Jackson slept for awhile during that as well!
We just have too much fun with Jax, especially Aunt Kristin. Here they are sporting their huge sunglasses. Jackson's remind us a little of Willy Wonka, don't you think? Kristin has to get all the time she can with Jax now since hopefully Mikelle will get to go home in August. She is doing physical therapy and her back is getting better. Mikelle can even carry him now!

Jackson loves his swing. With Mikelle and him being in Prescott a lot, Jackson has had 3 swings to try. One of them doesn't lie back so far, and he's hit his head a few times, but that doesn't stop him from loving it! He is starting to get too big for it though. It doesn't quite push him as well anymore, so we'll help out to keep him happpy!!
These are a little late, but that is our style! We went to Lake Powell for Mikelle's dad's 60's birthday! We had a great time. Jackson enjoyed the cold water, but only when we put him in slowly. Just jump didn't work for him!! He also hated his life jacket, luckily we didn't make him wear it too much.

Jackson just turned 5 months. Grandpa weighed him at the office and he weighed 17 lbs. 4 oz. He is getting so big! He is starting the whole open mouth smile, and it is precious.

Jackson just managed to find his feet last week. He loves them, but can't quite get them into his mouth yet, despite his best efforts.

This picture is just cute. Jackson loves the bath, but not so much the drying off, so sometimes we have to hold him calm down. We love the baby towels with the hoods.

Lets just say we have started Jackson on solid foods! He's not such a big fan of the rice cereal, but when we mix it with carrots, he really likes that! He is still trying to get the tounge thing down as well, so that doesn't help.
